Hey everybody. Time to start using the blog more regularly.
Here's the schedule for the week of Jan 31 - Feb 4:
Mon. Glowstick Lab (completed lab due Tue)
Tue. Microscopes Intro & Explore (no homework)
Wed. Microscope Lab & Explore (no homework)
Thu. Characteristics of Living Things & letter to igor & review (letter due Monday)
Fri. QUIZ over scientific inquiry (steps & control v. variable groups (IV & DV); begin macromolecules
Also, there are some extra credit opportunities out there:
1. Subscribe to this blog through email or as a follower (3 points (earn another 3 points for getting your parent or guardian to subscribe as well))
2. Bring in two boxes of Kleenex OR one container of Clorox wipes (free homework pass)
3. Enter national DNA essay contest - see me for more details (drop lowest quiz score of semester)

Final Exam Review & Schedule

Additionally, here's the schedule for the remainder of the semester:
Wed. normal class times but taking final exams during 1st & 3rd blocks
Mon. normal class times but taking final exams during 2nd & 4th blocks
Tue. will begin the 2nd semester and you will report to your new classes (schedules were handed out in 1st block on Monday)
Study up and I'll see everyone on Wednesday.

Final Week of Biology
Here's the schedule for the last week of class:
Wed 1-12 --> population dynamics
Thu 1-13 --> meiosis & mutations
Fri 1-14 --> greenhouse effect & global warming theory & exam review (a copy is in the dropbox at http://learn.spartaschools.org/ if you need another one)
Mon 1-17 --> invasive species & exam review
Tue 1-18 --> structured exam review
Wed 1-19 --> Final exam (worth 7.5% of overall grade)
Updates/info:
*Formal lab final due date is Fri. Jan. 14 (no late papers will be accepted)
*Exam review will be collected for credit
*Study buddies will be distributed on Friday, Jan. 14
* Extra credit DNA models are due Monday, Jan. 17
Good luck in the last week of class everybody. I highly suggest using the quizlet site to help study your vocabulary terms from the class.
