Uploading to learn.spartaschools.org

Here's a short video that shows how to use the learn.spartaschools.org sharepoint site (wiki) to upload your project to. Please upload after each revision, as this will make it so you don't have to use a flash drive or need to email your project to yourself; ie. it saves you time :)For written instructions, click here

IMPORTANT: Please begin by creating a folder in the biology dropbox - 1st block winter 2011 folder. Please include your name and system in your file name when uploading your files. Thank You.

Parent - Teacher Conferences Monday March 14

Hey everybody. Just a reminder that P/T Conferences are Monday March 14 from 5:00-7:30pm. Please pass the word on to your parents about this as there is extra credit being offered for attending :)

Starting a new unit

We have officially started our new unit on cell energetics (how the cells gets and uses energy). We've already discussed the importance of ATP in the cell and began talking about photosynthesis today. Friday we will continue to look at photosynthesis and discuss some of the finer points of it. Please remember to bring your "cards" to class everyday throughout this unit as we will use them and you may use the cards on the unit quiz.

1. Good things - Jacob V. will lead this today as he is still the official leader (Danielle, you are the backup in case Jacob isn't here).  Please lead this in a similar manner as I do and your efforts will be rewarded on Tuesday.

2. Watch video of osmosis & diffusion notes. I have provided a notes guideline for part of the notes, but you will need your notebook for the end of the notes. I suggest you staple the guideline into your notes. The video can be accessed by clicking here.

3. Work on your cell review (due Tuesday) & the membrane transport handout (due Wednesday)

No School for 10th Graders Tuesday March 1, 2011
